Papillon Canada Rescue

Welcome to the Papillon Canada Rescue Web Page

Papillon Canada Rescue is a committee of Papillon Canada formed to facilitate the rescue of papillons who find themselves in need of help. We find loving, supportive, adoptive homes for papillons who are lost, abandonned, neglected, mistreated, or who have owners no longer able to care for them for any reason.

Papillons have been breeding true for hundreds of years and until recently have been one of the best kept secrets in the toy dog world. They are named for their beautiful large butterfly (or moth like in the case of the phalene) ears. This is an elegant, dainty breed bred simply to be with  people.  They have loving and  playful temperaments and  make excellent, faithful, and lively companions. For more information on Papillons, please refer to the Papillon Canada Web Site through the link below.

Every Papillon deserves an understanding and caring home. In the spring of 1999, a concerned group of Papillon lovers formed a national rescue committee. We have representatives right across Canada. We still need more volunteers who are interested in providing help and support in many ways. We need foster homes, adoptive homes, financial assistance, moral support, and a network that will bring to our attention animals in need of help.

If you know of a Papillon who needs a home,  if you want to adopt, foster, provide financial support, or just need information please contact us at any of the following numbers:
