George

Hello, my name is George. I’m a ten-year-old neutered male Papillon. I’m up to date with my shots, am micro chipped and have been checked over very well by a nice Veterinarian who said I’d make a great pet! I wasn’t feeling very well when she said that so I wasn’t sure what it meant. I think I’m beginning to find out…..  I’ve had a difficult life, so I’m a little leery about strangers until I get to know them. I’m beginning to learn that humans can be nice and loving, though.  Because of neglect, my teeth were badly decayed so I had to have them all extracted. That doesn’t bother me, though. I can eat very well, and am even starting to put on some weight. Eating doesn’t hurt anymore and I sure look forward to dinner time! Bones are a bit of a challenge but I still try to work on them like I see the other kids in my pack doing.  I’m a gentle little guy and have begun to ask for affection, having seen how much my pack-mates enjoy it. That’s a big step for me.  I’ve now learned to walk on a leash and I’m even enjoying it. I’m just about house trained and my foster parents say that I’m a nice boy and I’ve come a long way.  I’d love to be a permanent member of a real family now that I’ve discovered what that feels like. I am In British Columbia.
